CEO & Founder · Registered Nurse · Behavioral Health Psychotherapist
With over 30 years of experience in nursing and behavioral health, Matlhatso Kesupile-Reed founded CHC in 2015 out of a deep conviction that the people of Kanye, Botswana deserved access to dignified, holistic, and compassionate care. Her career began at the CDC Gaborone office under the American Embassy, where she contributed to the BOTUSA TB/HIV/AIDS Research Project. After relocating to Philadelphia, she volunteered with the House of Roses NGO — supporting young women transitioning from foster care — before returning home to establish CHC.
As CEO, she provides overall organizational leadership, sets strategic direction, and serves as CHC's primary ambassador to donors, government, and the international community. Her guiding philosophy: "To help people to help themselves."
